Need a shoulder to cry on

Sorry...I posted this in the wrong place.

Well....I'm back. I haven't been posting for awhile because I was in a relationship which I thought was going well and might even last awhile. I am not going to get into all the gory details, however, on my way to a job interview yesterday (I was laid off from my job a few weeks ago), my bf called to tell me that he didn't think this was working out and that we are two different people and that we should break up. Needless to say, I was shocked and surpried and angry that I had to be broken up with on a train going to a job interview. I asked him if we could have this discussion in person and he agreed. The only problem is that he lives 3 hours away and wants me to meet him for dinner next week. I have no desire to drive that far to have this discussion and than drive home. Is it too unreasonable to ask him to either come to me or for us to meet 1/2 way somewhere? I left a message for him telling him that I would not be meeting him at the restaurant and to please call me so that we can reschedule something. Honestly, I am not even sure if I want to see him, I really just want my things back. It's nothing that can't be mailed to me. Seeing him would bring me closure, which is something that was lacking in my break up.

I'm sorry that this is rambling and might not make much sense. I am not very coherent right now and just needed someone to talk to instead of making a phone call to him. The one thought that keeps coming through my head is a line from a Ashley Judd movie "all men don't leave, they just leave me". And I don't know why...

(((Sweetie))) I'm glad to see you but wish it were under different circumstances. I'm sorry you're having a streak of bad luck but things will be ok.....you've been through this before and you can get through it again...and as always...we're here to help. I think it would only be fair for him to meet you in the middle....I can't beleive he expects you to drive 6 hrs for a break-up talk...that's ridiculous!! No matter what you do, I wish you look and we're here if you need a friend or more.
