Hi Everyone,

Need some names of movies to watch during the Post-Breakup timeperiod. Movies that help give us hope that it'll get better, that the breakup happened for the best, that we're good ppl who deserve better!!!!

Some of my suggestions:

1. Under the Tuscan Sun (Favorite!!!)
2. Waiting to Exhale
3. Diary of a Mad Black Woman
4. How Stella Got Her Groove Back
5. Hope Floats

What other movies would everyone recommend to help push back the sadness and bring a little sunshine and hope?

Thanks!

I am a fan of Legally Blonde...and my favorite line from Reese Witherspoon to her ex-boyfriend (who she is attempting to win back) is "I am never going to be good enough for you am I?" Well, if you haven't seen the movie, you will just have to watch it to find out! It is very empowering and really shows you shouldn't settle.

I have also been coping and I recently thought of a different way to view things. First, if I get back together with someone who broke up with me (and there were bad things about our relationship), then I am missing opportunities to meet someone who will sweep me off my feet. Second, think of your ideal man (one who obviously wouldn't break your heart), you know, the things that you always wanted in someone and they came along...would you really choose your ex over this other guy? I am finding myself saying no to that...

well, go get the movie!!

sooyi...

How about MISS CONGENIALITY 2? Great lines and funny situations in that one...and there's no male/female romance angle to remind you of your break-up!

"Closer" with Julia Roberts and Jude Law. I watched it two days after my crazy ex broke up with me and I felt liberated through Natalie Portman's character.
