I have a big, mature, over 2-story tall tree in my back yard, with branches overhanging the patio and near the two "kid's" rooms (no kids yet, but I had a room with a tree close to the window when I was a kid). I love that tree. I live in a pretty flat, not very treed part of the country, and the house is new construction, so that tree is really unusual. Also, I have a fireplace in my master bedroom. Can't wait for the nights to get cool, so I can invite someone back to my place for some time in front of the fire : )
I love the colors of my home... every room is done in warm tones but each is a different color... my entry is a smoky purple, the living room is a willow green, the halls are a mocha, my room is 3 tan walls and one brick red, the kitchen is faux finished to look like venetian plaster in gold, guest room is a soft, buttery yellow... and my front door is red! I just love how it's decorated... it's one thing that I feel very good at and am very proud of...
I also love to landscape and now have relandscaped the front and am halfway done with the backyard... I have planted a butterfly and hummingbird gardenscape... so I have lots of life outside... there is something very renewing to the spirit to see those little beauties flit by so peacefully...
3. My fireplace
2. My jacuzzi
1. There's no longer a junkie living here
I have a couple:
The amount of light that comes in from my huge windows
My orchid I just bought....hope I can keep it alive!
and the fact that I don't have to hear/watch sports on the tv anymore!!!
