As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

That's so true...we get so caught up in the moment that we forget about these things. I just recently found out something about my mother that I never knew and for 10 years I've blamed my father for things that my mother should have shared the blame in. 10 years!! That's a long time to be angry at some one. I've learned that it doesn't matter what happens or who does what to let you down...anger is not an even trade for happiness. Life is too short. I'm so glad that I realized this before I wasted any more time because you're right you can't get it back and I'd like to add that you can't take it with you either.

When I was so anguished over my "breakup," my 65-year-old boss stressed how as you get older, you realize how precious time is. That's why my new favorite quote is, "Don't let yesterday use up too much of today." I keep reminding myself of that. Just inhale the fresh air, enjoy the sunlight, make the best of TODAY and try not to worry about the future or the past. If today were your last day on earth, would you want to spend it crying over your ex or enjoying yourself? The less time you spend mourning and the more time you spend appreciating the beauty all around you, the quicker you'll recover.
