Thank You & Advice to Newly Heartbroken
Thu, 01-06-2005 - 4:48pm

It has now been three months since my breakup and my life is better than even before when I met the dud. I am relocating to a new city, have renewed some old friendships and have enjoyed spending time with just myself and with friends. I haven't posted in a while because I honestly haven't felt the need to, he really is a part of my past but no longer in my present and definitely not in my future! I just wanted to say thank you to anyone who replied to my messages, they helped immensely and it was wonderful to have the support network. Personal friends are wonderful but to have a group of people going through the same thing at the same time was such a blessing.

My advice to those going through recent heartbreak is that is DOES get better. Feel sorry for yourself for a while but don't let it linger and don't let negative people consume your life and thoughts. When you get angry don't sit around and dwell on it, go for a drive or even better yet hit the gym. I have dropped two sizes since breaking up with my ex and going running everyday, at first it was stress relief but now it is something I truly enjoy, especially after my results. Use this negative experience as a way to become a better and stronger person. If I can do it then you can do it. And of course under no cirucmstances call the moron who dumped you! No contact really is the best route, I promise you. These men are a waste of our time, it hurts but once time has past you really will wonder what the hell you found so wonderful about this guy anyway.

Take care, thank you and goodbye :)
