Here are some items from my journal that I learned from my fantastic, abruptly ended relationship:
1. You can't control others: if they love you but don't want to be with you there is nothing you can do to change that; you have to accept in and move on,

good for you on the list. i agree with everything, except for a slight change to #5. i'm inclined to think communication is as important as love, but i'm still working that out in my mind.

Once I stopped trying to figure out why he did the breaking up, why he did this, why he did that, it became MUCH easier to get on with the healing and it came faster. Basically, I let the outcome go and started focusing on the day-to-day process without worrying so much about later. Maybe that'll help you.
