so frustrating being on the night shift. it means you gotta wake up late, so that rules out morning and evening activities. it's hard to take up new activities or join new groups. i need the distraction.

i've had no energy to do much but keep tabs on the boards, get myself to work (and do the very minimum) and today see my counselor. so i didn't make plans for the weekend, and now everyone's busy tomorrow night.

what do i do during that long night? how do i keep myself distracted? i do not want to be alone during that time.

Make popcorn and watch a movie. Go to a movie alone (Bourne Ultimatum is at my local Dollar theater LOL).

thanks again. i really appreciate your help.

as for the days i would've gone to chicago (early november), i am now considering trying a spa retreat (not religious)... does anyone have any ideas for good ones in california? affordability is a major factor for me; i found a nice-sounding one but it was $1000+ for a few days!!

Northern or Southern? Anyway, some of these links having been updated for a few years, but they do have telephone numbers and info so you can call to find out if the pricing has changed.
