I've been posting all over the place on these boards this week about my break up and how hard it's taking me, but today I got what I wasn't expecting.. I got fired at work....

Woah that's awful!!
I asked my ex on the phone last night when I was talking about what happened with my job, (gave me an excuse to cry a bit with the mixture of him and the job) although he can think its the job.
So are *you* seeing a counselor?

I think leaning on your ex was not a smart move. Quite frankly, it was a rather dumb decision.

Listen to yourself. Do you hear what you are saying? What if you had said this:
"the feelings of my old job came back so much more, I just wanted to have my former co-workers tell me I was going to be fine and cheer me up.. I needed that job... So I did go back to my old job. My old boss is so great to talk to about these things, "I really think I can be friends with him" Because to risk losing a great job like that out of my life altogether would be foolish I think."
Are you an attorney? Anyhow, if you worked at "one of the top firms on Boston," you probably have plenty intellect and common sense. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you're stupid or anything, not at all. But you are clearly capable of making better and more rational decisions.
