how bout where you work? Do you have any sisters? Hang out with them and network yourself out to their friends, who will introduce you to their friends. Do you go to school? Just start talking to people and be open minded and you will attract people. What state do you live in?

You can do what I am doing and that is waitressing...you become friends with the people you work with and it's a great way to meet alot of new people and make alot of money too! Even if it's only on the weekends, it's where I met some of my good friends from school as well as my ex. Good luck!!

My closest friends I made while working in a restaurant almost ten years ago. That's a great idea!

You can also look at www.meetup.com. People set up groups all over the country, and the point is to have ACTUAL HUMAN CONTACT between the members of the groups. In my city, there is a great group of women from the ages of 20 to 40 who do all sorts of things, anything you can imagine. Next week we're going to a concert, they go dancing, there's a weekly wine tasting, they organize groups for festivals and bike rides, etc. If there isn't one for your area, I would consider starting one up. I wish I had thought up the idea! I think there is a real need for this type of group, because a lot of the girls/ladies in the group are newly single and are trying to reconnect with women. So many times, women dedicate their lives to men, and when that man moves on, they find themselves alone. That's what I've witnessed anyway. Sorry for the long response. It's just that the meetup group(s) have really improved my life!

I've been told craigslist is how a couple people have met workout buddies... I'm thinking of posting an ad there myself. You just meet at AT the gym and go at your comfort level...
