I think you underestimate yourself. You're not going two steps back every time. In fact, for a self-described 'fairytale relationship', you're moving along quite well.
And you WILL move on. You understand that at least 50% of your fantastic relationship experience was a result of yourself. The fact that you were able to build such a relationship with one man means that it's highly likely that you'll be able to build it again with another (hopefully better) partner.
