Ok, I know I shouldn't have listend to my ex, but I did.

So he said he was goin g to get me a gift and asked my size, so I told him.

So, last night we exchanged gifts (I bought him something because I felt bad if he bought me something).

I bought him jeans, a shirt and a crazy book he would like.

He got me a $50 gift certificate to Outback.

I dont even eat there.

It's not the amount of his gift, it's the fact that he didn't even think about something I would like, no thought into it whatsoever.

i know I should be grateful he bought me something, but for some reason, i just feel like I was regifted.

His students and their parents give him cookies and gift cards all the time.

I am thinking I got one.

It makes me feel stupid and I don't care who reads this because right now I am just upset I feel for this same Sh@t once again. The he said he feels good about his gift because he feels attractive and it's the best gift he ever got.

Who cares?

I woke up today and NO MORE will I talk about him or even be around him. I am wasting my time and energy thinking about this man.

Hopefully, I'll meet a new guy and go out to eat...to Outback!

don't be too hard on yourself. just add this to the rest of the experiences that will guide your healing. despite how foolish a person is being, it's really hard to shut out people you care about, ESPECIALLy during the holidays.

I'm sorry, but this cracked me up. Sometimes we just have to see the humor in our own situations. I appreciate the laugh, even if it was unintended. Maybe you can laugh a little too?

In any case, you are probably on target that it was a re-gift. For someone close to you, who doesn't even LIKE what you are giving- HOW TACKY. Be glad to be rid of him, seriously. He is showing you his lack of regard for you. Jerk.

Upward and onward!!!!

I think you should definitely find a cute guy and then take him out to Outback on your ex's card. Beautiful, beautiful karma. It's too bad he took what could have been a nice thing and messed it all up. Guys would be saying, "But he got you a gift! Isn't that enough?" Well, no. Not when he's the one who "built it up" by asking size and even bringing up a gift exchange in the first place. Sometimes guys just don't get it.

Enjoy the rest of the holidays!

Yea, that WAS meant to be funny.LOL.

Yea, I am tempted to tell him to not call me again since he thinks we are friends, but I'm afraid that's going to make me look foolish or something.

Maybe I can just avoid him.

Yea, he should have just left it alone b/c I was fine with no gifts at all. But no, he wanted to buy me something, so I "thought" I let him.

I want to write some letter to tell him not to ever call me and just forget I am alive...but I am not sure if this would make me desperate.LOL.

I am going to find a nice guy...who I don't know. If my close friend lived nearby, I would take him but he is 4 hrs away. Maybe I can just pick up a man.LOL

I know I should just add it to heal from, but I'm just tired of adding most experiences.LOL I'm gonna stop beating myself up, but it's hard.
