Going on an interview tomorrow for a school monitor job.It would be in a beautiful High school maybe l0 or l5 minutes away.

I think it would be perfect for me. A few hours away, school days only and summers off. With a son in HS and one college I know I have a shot.

The PLUS is that it'll help me at this time especially (NC of course.)

I'm sweet and friendly, and have a Liberal Arts degree too so why wouldn't they want me?

Spirits up!

So I'll try my best!

Good luck, mlster!! I would have loved to have a job with the school system when my son was in school. I even applied for a job as a teacher's assistant. I took the tests and passed them all. As I was packing up some stuff off my desk, I even found my card for it! I didn't get the job, but I have verification I qualify!!

Working with kids of all ages can be very gratifying.

Thank you Chris and I'm sure you'd do MORE than qualify! You'd have been great as you seem like such a warm and caring person (and a great writer too :)

You know I've been in therapy for a year with this EMR situation and she's been telling me that a part time job now would be my salvation.

I think it would be.

Thanks again.

During my third marriage, I got extremely bored so I went out and got a p/t job. I also went back to school. The more I developed interests of my own the further my husband and I drifted apart. Actually, the job came second. LOL

And, that was the beginning of the end! Sean was my boss. I went to work for him in May 1990. By that December I knew he was the one!! We've been together almost ever since then. It took me almost a year to get him as hooked as I was.

Getting a job or volunteering somewhere can definitely provide the outlet you need. Go for it, girl. If this first try doesn't work, go try something else. You can find something to occupy your time and mind.

I got the job !!!

(Have to get fingerprinted first and fill out papers, etc but it will happen)

The assistant principal called yesterday afternoon.Wow.I beat out the other candidates even in the midst of NC!! LOL

You know when I was younger I look back now and see I was one of those women who really just wanted to get married and have kids.

I did that at a young age and was content with it for a long while. But I realize that I have to fulfill ME.I can't live my life THROUGH a man. That's one very important thing I've taken away from reading about EMR's and from therapy. The answers lie WITHIN US.

US as women.

We need to be happy with US first and foremost.

Thankyou for sharing your story with me,Chris.I wish you much continued happiness in whatever you do.

P.S.

Esp. today I can feel alot of the sadness of the past 7 weeks lifting.

I won't cry today.

Congratulations!! You have taken the next step in building a life for you!! Yes, you are right in that we need to live our lives for ourselves, not for a man, not even for our children. Develop a life of your own. The answers you seek are within you and you will find them!!

Way to go, girl!!
