Alice I am really glad you didn't send xap anything. He really doesn't factor into this at all does he, my heart goes out to the family who lost their child. It's so very sad when a life is lost and especially such a young life. Keep focused on what is important and I am very sorry for the loss you are experiencing<3

I'm so impressed you didn't rationalize the need for this "exception" to NC.

Hi Alice,

So proud and good for you!

You are right. We can always think of a reason to contact if that is where we choose to focus our energy and yeah it is going to just be an excuse.

The sadness. Did you do any journaling about that feeling and ask yourself why? This situation does involve a death and that may be key here. It could also be because you won’t get to feel the excitement of the risk involved in contacting him or the drama that follows. Sometimes if you are feeling kinda-flat emotionally. You could look for ways to create excitement even if it is the negative kind.

Just some ideas. You hold the key but I wouldn’t spend a whole lot of time on it as the bigger picture is your progress and growth.

Much love and big hugs,

E1

Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.
