Anxiety....what to do??

I am hoping that some of you can give me some suggestions on how to handle not only the extreme bouts of sadness that come out of nowhere, but the extreme anxiety as well.

I see
I think it's very good you ended your A, be proud of yourself that you took the steps to get yourself to a better place. There is pride in that as well:) I have not used Xanax, I did use st. Johns worts and I also used calcium in a liquid form which really helped with my anxiety and helped me sleep. Check with your Dr. first though before trying new methods as you want to make sure it's the right treatment for you. Be very kind to yourself, try and stay away from stressful situations I know that is easier said than done but you need to work through your anxiety and you need to make yourself number one right now. It is good you are in T and I am glad you find peace with your T, that peace will carry over into your daily life in time as well:)
AAI -
Energy is right - time is what ultimately will help you. I had crazy anxiety all through my A, and for the first few months after it ended. I would pace in my office like a wild animal - at times I even had to leave and drive around - go in and out of stores, crazy stuff! Exercising is great - keep it up. Don't forget that YOU are in control of your life. When anxious feelings creep in it's like a weed that makes it through a crack and spreads fast. Remind yourself - even if you say it out loud (I do this all the time in the car and when I'm home along) I'm in control. I have a choice. Positive things :)

AAI,
First of all, no more second guessing yourself.
AAI-
I'm so sorry you are experiencing anxiety.
Thanks you guys.
