hope you all had a great week and are having a nice weekend so far. Vacation was just what i needed. I actually feel relaxed and happy. But now it is back to real life and I'm going to try and not let myself slip back into the craziness that was my addiction to OM (even with his short and sweet e-mail "I still miss you and want you" that I received when I got back). When I get some extra time, I'm going to read the posts from last week!! Hope everything is going well for you guys!!!

Welcome back Karry!

I'm so glad you had a good time, and also a true break from the addiction. I think that is a definite sign of healing - when I was in the midst of things, NOTHING stopped me from thinking about him 24/7 - not even my own birthday celebration (all I wished was that he was there) or even my KIDS birthdays... what a WASTE of valuable moments spent thinking about him instead of treasuring what I have...

Ignore his email... keep on a roll with the great strength you have...

I read your post. I am in a very similar situation to the person you were responding to in your post. How did you get through it? I have tried a dozen times to get out of this stupid relationship. I have 2 great kids and a husband who makes a great Dad but not such a great husband. I don't even want to be with this OM. He is 10 yrs younger and I am one of many female friends. He is so exciting and makes me feel special but also makes me hate myself. I came to iVillage to find someone to help. My Mom died several years ago and all of my friends would be horrified.

Thanks Glinda. I have realized that if I'm distracted with enjoyable things, I seem to be able to keep OM from overtaking my thoughts. I do miss him but I refuse to keep dwelling on what is not meant to be. I need to get moving with my life. I hope things are going well your way!!!
