Being Spied on?

Well if I am, everything I've posted here, as well as any letters I've written to XMM, emails, chats, have been read by someone. Everytime I run a spyware program, it keeps showing up with "remote keylogger". I delete it, run it again immediately, and the program is gone. Being the paranoid person I am, I run it a few hours later, and it's back on. This has been going on for weeks now on my home computer. I ran one at work today, and found the same thing on that one. I'm beginning to get spooked now.
I know it's not my H, I told him about what I've been finding and he's just as pissed about it as I am (well me moreso because I have things to hide obviously), besides, he knows very little about computers. I'm beginning to think it's XMM. There's also a slight chance of it being someone XMM and I both know, but either way, someone, even if it's someone unknown to me, is enabling a remote keylogger onto my computers.
I urge everyone to be careful with covering your computer tracks. Run a spyware program often and read up on keyloggers. It'll freak ya out, especially with all of us coming from a place that privacy is of the utmost importance.

If you believe in the press of the cheap keyloggers get one and see how effective it is. We did as part of one of our MS courses. Its easier when you know how to track erased or deleted history than go to all that the trouble of keylogging.
We are XOW. I ended my A too. We are replaceable. I have little doubt XMM is cultivating another young girl to service his needs and if she's lucky she might receive an unexpected gift of the keys and deeds to her condo too. I like being replaceable. It means I'm free to move on with MY life now. Advice is usually worth roughly what it costs but mine to you is dont waste another second thinking about XMM especially if you have someone at home who loves you in real life.
With the possible exception of denial of service attacks computer viruses arent personal. Let me know when you've sent your $20 bucks to the tsunami fund lol.

I did a search on the name you provided inyour first post and there is a virus by that name.
I had a similer problem recently, got ride of the virus a bunch of time but it kept coming back, found out that a loader had been installed by the some downloaded software that was going out to a web site and downloading and installing the virus again until I hunted down and killed the loader.
Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone.
And Riven, this post wasn't about whether XMM has moved on, and whether we are replaceable or not, but rather how to secure my privacy from him or anyone else, even if it IS a random virus. And for the record, I'm not over here constantly thinking of XMM, because for the most part, I'm over it.
They advertise those keyloggers all the time and I always wondered just how effective they are. If they are that cheap, and that accessible to anyone, I know there are people out there that would do it just out of sheer noseyness or just for kicks.
And how do we REALLY know that it's a random virus, as opposed to someone that is intentially trying to gain information? Statistically speaking, yes, it's probably a virus..but I'm asking a real question Riven..how do I REALLY know that for sure? Do you have a way of knowing if it's random or malicious? Because if you do, please let me know. Because like I said before, there are several other people I know that could have an interest in what I'm doing, so it doesn't have to be XMM and I never said it was..I just said it was a possibility.
So far, the one that I've deleted from my work computer hasn't come back. The one at home though keeps reloading. I haven't had the opportunity to try the things that you told me yet Riven, but I will.

This happens to be in my line of work, I deal with networking and network security.
The network firewall may have stopped the loader from going out to download another copy of the virus.
Try zone alarms FREE firewall and then delete the virus/logger and see what happens.
Good luck

PS: It almost sounds like your hopeing that someone is doing this on deliberately...Way, bored in need of some excitment/ stimulation ???
I may have asked this before but are you ADD?

<I may have asked this before but are you ADD?>>
Why would I be hoping? I've written some seriously damaging letters to XMM from both my home and work computers, so I got a little freaked out that someone may have been able to read those. I've had IM's with him that if someone could see my keystrokes, they could very easily have seen that there was illicit behavior going on.
No Free, I'm not ADD, and I'm not in need of excitement. I'm in need of privacy of what I type here, as well as any credit card info, etc. that I type into my computers.
You both are reading WAY too much into my query. I want safety from internet nosey-bodies, nothing more.
Cheap and even expensive keyloggers are useless if the target computer has a halfway decent firewall running.
You ask how do you REALLY know if it's a virus. Quickest easiest answer is take it to a pc whizz and they can TELL you.
Just because you might be interested in what others are up to doesn't mean everyone else is that nosey lol. I'd be much more worried that cc details and online banking passwords were compromised.
TBH I wouldn't be going online with an infected conmputer until I was sure the virus had been eradicated. On successful removal, ensure you change all passwords too since you don't know when the virus is set for payload or downloading the info it's gathered or if it's already done so. Each time you go online with an unknown virus running in your registry, you're asking for your cc to be maxxed and your bank account to be emptied.
You said the one at work has not shown itself again. Are you networked? What did your IT dept say about it? No need to be coy with IT since they already know what sites you regularly visit just like they have all your IM records. You have few if any secrets from your IT dept. The hottest office gossip always comes from IT and christmas bonus time is always awesome hehe.
Well if our IT people (who are off-site, because we are a small company) have read my IM's, they have some interesting topics to talk about, that's for sure. Everyone here, including the Boss, uses IM, so I'm not too concerned.
Riven, thanks for all the computer tips you've given me. I will see if I can knock this sucker out of my home computer with your advise. Thanks again for the peace of mind that this was likely random.
That's what A's do to ya, they make you paranoid :(
