Boards, what works for me.

There are times that I like to think of myself as a geek.  OK, maybe not a geek, but above average in computer usage.

It has taken me a long time to try to do things differently because I have always liked doing it the way that I did.

Changes that worked for me.

On my computer, I changed my browser from IE9 to Chrome.  It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be to get used to.

On my smart phone, Android based, I changed the browser to Chrome also.

Both are free to download and use.

Both seem to work very, very well in logging into iVilliage, staying logged in, setting cookies, and being able to post and answer posts.

Since both browsers sync between my computer and phone, it all seems to work well.

I stay logged in, because I have no need to log out.

I can post new posts and reply to other peoples posts.

I still have some problems like all of you do but overall, I am getting along fine.

I know most of you can not for individual reasons just change your browsers on your computers, but if you can, then it is worth the try.

The same with those that use a smart phone.  I don't know whether you can change an iPhones browser but I would think you should be able to.

We only miss what could have been. I know I don't miss what it really was.

Thank you for posting in help on what to try to make things work.

I am finding that once again new posts are all over the place...like yours is at the bottom of the page...and I just saw it because I happened to scroll down a ways.

I have my own cliff looming now.  And so help me, if I jump...I'm not coming back.  Actually someone on MAS found another affair Board. And it's been mentioned here about trying to start up a new one...and I didn't respond to it because I've been trying to be a good little CL supportive of ivillage, but it is trying my patience and patience has never been my strong suit.

*stomping foot* I'm pissed!

Hi Clarity

I too have see this other board - I am not prepared to take the jump - there we advertisments for starting A's on the top banner - not exactly what people here need! ....unless everyone else jumps ship I am sticking around - it would be pretty lonely here all alone -  hopefully you will STAY PUT!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure in 2013 things will improve.

I went and looked at the other board - and I would strongly suggest that our peeps here and on AAS just avoid it.

It would really, really, really not be a good fit.  :(

There are other "Plan B" options out there, if it came down to that.  But not that one.

Oh yes...absolutely avoid that affair board mentioned on MAS.  Actually, I was referring to the mention here by someone of starting an ending board elsewhere, but I am still holding out (feel better after my little tantrum)...hoping things here will get better.
