Hi Chrissy
In response to your email...I have definitely noticed some changes w/Lexapro. I used to cry/sob every single day - now I still get sad & have the occasional really bad day, but I don't cry for absolutely everything anymore (BTW I started Lexapro due to my A & a near fatal accident I was involved in). I've been on it since this past summer. In my opinion, Lexapro has been helpful for me, but I've definitely needed therapy to deal/learn how to deal w/my issues. Everything is not fixed in my life, but I'm learning, the hard way, that it takes a lot of time and a lot of energy on my part to even begin to see a change. There's no miracle pill. Incidentally, I don't know if your doctor/pharmacist told you, but you're really not supposed to drink while on Lexapro - you should tell your doctor that you do. I have told my therapist that I have taken to going out/drinking lately & we're trying to work on that. But I thought I should tell you that.
Good luck to you.
Blue
