I watched Coyote Ugly last night on TV. "Do you know what Coyote Ugly is? It is when you wake up next to someone the next day and they are so UGLY that you would rather chew off your arm than risk waking them up."

If I use that definition, the xAP and A were both Coyote Ugly. I "woke up" from affair fog and need to realize that chewing off my arm would be better than ever ever ever ending up in his bed again.

Several post have pondered the question...how do you stop thinking about him? I have a new mantra I am going to say everytime he creeps into my head-- COYOTE UGLY.

I did something similar for a very long time. My xAP was a gorgeous hunk in college, but now, well not so.

The very first day/night we saw each other again after over 30 years, I was shocked by his appearance. His body was great, but he had become thin and was balding. He reminded me of that character from Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod Crane. An old scary looking man, that frightened everyone. That very night after he left, I started calling him that name. (to myself) Of course the affair ran it's course for years, but afterwards, I used that name in a negative way to remind me xAP wasn't so great after all and he was in fact JAM.
