You know what ladies, I am NOT going to quit my job for XAP!!! NO WAY!!!! I love my job and ALL the people I work with and I'm not going to let him think "I'm running away from him" all that does is make me look weak anyway.

So I have decided I am staying. I can feel myself get stronger everyday (not saying I don't have hard emotional moments) but I am doing better day by day. I still need all of your support because there are going to be hard days ahead.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT, YOUR ADVICE, YOUR TIME, YOUR SUPPORT AND YOUR CONCERN. LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Bravo to you. I am so proud... and a little jealous. Even though I left my job for a better opportunity, with more pay and better benefits, I still feel like I left because of him and that makes me so angry. I know I am better off here, but I think I did let him run me off. Kudos for you for being so strong.

thats what I am talking about!!! Yeah!! U got it....DO U! U need to be at my celebration party. Its never too late to join, This is another cause for celebration.

SOOOOOOOOOOO proud.

and Jane, do not assume he ran you off and if it was best for you did he really win? No, you did. U did what was best for you and that is what matters, not whether he ran you off or not, Sounds like you are in a better situation anyway. And remember, what works for one of us may not work for someone else. Does not mean one of us is stronger or weaker, it just means we made the best choice to rid ourselves of the toxic A for good., How we get there is not nearly important as getting there. U took control.

I myself could never work with Exap so kudos to you LC gals. You are the strongest things I know to be walking this earth, cuz I shuttered from the sight of mine at starbucks and he did not even see me. I ducked in my car....but it was what worked for me....if that makes me weak or a coward so be it....

Hugs to all,

Luvin

There you go !!

Let's point beachsunfun (think I have new name right) to this post. I'm concerned she may be thinking of leaving her job because it affords her xAP contact with her. Can't think like that, unless the new position is something you truly desire and want.

Hey!

Congrats on making the decision that feels right for you! It won't be without challenges, but I totally appreciate that feeling of not wanting to be pushed out of your job. Yet another freaking 'loss' on our ends. If you can swing it, then go for it. Stand tall and proud. I have made the same decision (for now). I was going to remove myself off some projects that xAP and I are on, which would be a huge hit for me professionally and financially - but in the end, I was like 'NO WAY!!!' If he has the courage to face me - then I am sure as heck gonna find a way to too. But in the end, I also know I will do what's right for me. So, if that means leaving a project behind because it is in my best interest, then I am also going to hold my head high and walk away. Putting our needs first is courageous and dignified - whether that's staying or leaving. I am committed to that being the last visions my xAP ever has of me - one of courage and dignity.

TU.

You have made some very valid points. And you have found what worked for you and it seems you did take your time reaching that decision. Sometimes doing the right thing is not always easy, in your position it sounds as though you really thought this through and you did what you felt was best for you and your family.

If you'd be quitting your job only to avoid your xAP and not for advancement and the benefit of you and your family, then, by all means --- PEE ON YOUR DESK AND MARK YOUR TERRITORY! Of course, you will have to deal with LC, but it can be done. Ref all the wonderful ladies who have done it before you and gain the strength and wisdom to do it.

Best to you!

Wow, thanks for all of the support and “kudos”….however I do want to make sure to say something to those of you who have had to quit your job…..you are NOT weak because of having to quit and go elsewhere, not at all! You are strong also for the fact you did what you knew you had to do for YOU and your FAMILY!
