I read an interesting article about men who cheat and that they often "affair down." Here's an excerpt:

Realizing that I couldn't change my ex H was the biggest step for me. Why it took me so long to realize that with XAP is beyond me. I do know that I swept a lot under the rug and blamed it on "the situation" - never wanting to admit that I just needed to change the situation! Keep looking within, go to counseling - you are on the right track :)

Alwayst,

A compelling and thought-provoking post indeed.

"Bodhi, your honesty in what you discovered is what frightens me the most. What if I figure out that my DH of 28 years will never be able to fill what's missing from my life? Am I willing to live with that? Will I fill that void in other unhealthy ways (perhaps another A). I don't want to start all over in life, but I don't want to die of boredome or become a serial cheater."

I am with you on this one...I do not care who wrote it or from what perspective. I was a step up for my AP's.
