(Man, it really bugs me that I mis-spelled your screen name in the subject line.) ;-)
Dipss, one vibe I keep getting from you is that you are very hard on yourself!! You put yourself down a lot, even in a joking way... You don't need to do that! I think you are pretty gosh darn normal. I've been right where you are, too -- deciding to end things, waffling a few days later, giving OM a hard time for respecting my NC wishes, confusing the h*ll out of the poor guy; I have to say I have gained a tremendous amount of admiration for him because of how he has stuck to his word, how strong he has shown me that he is.
Anyway, I love momesq's advice to you, there's not much I can add to that! :)
I felt bad for ol' Red, too, poor kid, but I also couldn't take the pain of watching him sing anymore... ;) But I'm a pretty big sap, too. I embarrass my 8-year-old to death with the way I cry at the drop of a hat!
Lord I didnt realize that my posts do actually display how very hard I am on myself! Woo-hoo! A therapist would have a field day w/ me! Yes I am hard on myself. Always have been. You pointing it out to me just opened my eyes even further. Yikes!!
So much baggage that I carry around w/ me, baggage I am hoping to release sooner than later. Damn it! So hard to deal w/ it. Reading all these self help books right now trying to help myself. My most recent one is Dr. Phils "Self Matters"...just started reading it today on the way to work. So far, so good. Direct, to the point and that is what I need.
By the way, no worries on the mis-spelling of my "stage" name...actually didnt even notice it until you pointed that out too. DIPSS...kinda like Madonna of post world. ;)
Hope your well!!!
ps - I read your other post to Clarice about little league and thinking of her...anyway, I agree its funny how we have touched each others lives w/ never even meeting. I often think of you guys in different situations. So funny isnt it???
