Those dreams are like an irritating fly that buzzes around you and you can't get rid of it!! I think we all have them from time to time. I have and I usually think what the heck was that all about. And where did it come from. I recently had one where I was in xAP's neighborhood. (I've never even been in his city) But the street was his and the house was his. I was sneaking around his home, he knew I was there, but I was trying to avoid being seen by his wife. I even managed to get on his roof - go figure that one out! I can still the dream vividly and it's been over a week.

I guess I am the black sheep here because I very rarely dreamt of Xmm before or after the A. I always wondered why that was because I am a very active dreamer and remember most of them. I think I can count 3 dreams in the last 6 years that he showed up, and they all made him look like an idiot. Hah, guess that says it all. ;-)

Just remember that dreams are when your subconscious is trying to make sense of things, and a lot of purging happens that can be very uncomfortable. If you are still dreaming of being together then you are having a much more difficult time in letting him/her go. Stronger affirmations are needed while awake that it is over and you want to move on. I think for many of you, moving on is a concept that you are having trouble in accepting but until you do this, he is going to take up space in your psyche while awake or asleep.

Try not to think of him or the A as you are drifting off to sleep. Instead, lay quiet and think about what your plans are for the next day, what friends you'd like to contact, what birthdays and anniversaries are coming up, what you'd like to plant in your garden or buy for the house, where you would like to go over the weekend....stuff like that.

For those of you who vividly remember your dreams, try to remember symbols such as colors, numbers, relics, scenary, and go online and look up their meanings in a dream dictionary. Many times what you think your dream was about actually has nothing to do

alice, dreams every night? My goodness girl. We've got to get you outta that cycle. Check out Iddy's response, maybe some of her ideas will help you. I agree, try not to think of xAP right before closing your eyes. I used to use that time to relive things xAP said or did, before and after the end. I had many more dreams of xAP then than I do now. So there must be something to avoiding thoughts of your xAP right before sleep. In time the dreams will not be as often, but I'm a testament that even 2 years later, they still pop up.

Iddy's post made me recall the dreams I had during the A. I often dreamt that I was drowning or suffocating. They were vivid and terrifying dreams. I looked up what it could mean, and it basically told me the following:

Dreaming of drowning is

My dreams of xAP ALWAYS have the same theme, me running into him somewhere for the first time since DDay.
