What a terrific post, Alice. It's amazing that as the fog lifts, we can see so much more clearly the insanity of our thoughts and actions while in our affairs. How lucky your children are to have two wonderful, loving parents.
I hope your husband enjoys his day, today. And I hope you smother him with all the love he deserves from you. :)
Great post, Alice. I have been doing a lot of comparing of where I was or what I was doing a year ago and it astounds me. We've come so far honey and I am so happy to read that your fog is lifting.
Alice, Like Jane, I too compare last year to this year on the hallmark holidays and milestone events. I've been out of my A for 7 months so there have been a few. Even at the height of my depression and de-fogging phase, I was able to look at the previous Valentine's Day, Birthday, Christmas, etc. and be so f'n thankful that there was a palpable difference from the past and a very promising future. Thank you for your beautiful, yet wrenching post about Father's Day; it keeps us reminded of where we've been and, hopefully, where we're going.
