MPV, welcome back!! I don't think we've met yet. I'm Kat, proud owner of a shiny new pair of tweener wings.
So great to hear that you are finally done. Four weeks NC is amazing!! I like your use of the word "lighter" - that's exactly how I felt too. As though a burden had been lifted and I was breathing clear air again.
I look forward to reading more of your posts. For those of us who don't know you maybe you could tell us a bit more about you. Are you M? How much does your W know about your A?
Oh wow, what an amazing post! Thank you so much for sharing all this! It really, really helped me to read it all.
Fabulous work on 4 weeks NC, and I will get there too. Your third point, about hanging on to avoid the "last" conversation and so the consequent pain really resonated with me. I think that's why I walked without a word; because that way I don't have to face the reality of an ending.
Hi Luvin, I'm afraid it is so - our mama bear is thinking of leaving her cubs in the safe hands of a new CL while she makes space for some new adventures and challenges in her life. Have a look under the mothers day thread.
Great Post!!! Like you I was always stuck on that 'what am I actually getting out of this'. The answer is technically nothing positive but gosh our brains make a bad situation seem addictive/powerful... something! Because it seems impossible some days to NOT contine the destructive behaviour.
So proud of you making it 4 weeks! I reckon it gets easier after 6!!
Much love
and WTF about Iddy!!!! I need to find that post and register my horror, disbelief and my strong objection to the iVillage people accepting her resignatation! Cant we force her to stay ....:)))
Now this is a GREAT goodbye present for yours truly. I am so happy to see you back here, not just to tell us your news, but for the support that I believe all enders need, no matter how far you are out. 4 weeks is HUGE, so kudos to you.
I'm short on time right now, but just wanted to give you a GREAT BIG (((HUG)))
Congrats on getting to Tweenerville! To answer your questions (in a not so specific way), I am M for 18+ years, in A for 5+ years, had 2 D-Days, tried to end the A 4-5 times, live separately from W and looking forward to putting the A behind me for permanents.
