A good book for those of us who are suffering from the end of our A:

"Eros and Pathos, Shades of Love and Suffering" by Aldo Carotenuto, Ph.D., a Jungian analyst.

Keep your dictionary handy though. Through this book, which I've read many times, you often read a paragraph that hits home and you set the book down and reflect. It's helped me immensely and provided me with much comfort.

Thank you Torn. I'm off to Barnes & Noble. I recently ended a 4.5 year affair and although I am OK with my decision, I still have so many questions as to why I chose to take that journey in the first place. Was I running away from something, or desperately running towards it? Does this book help someone to understand thought processes and reasons why we do things so out of character? Just wondered...

Anyway, it's going to be a beautiful day here, and I needed something new to read while sun bathing, so thanks again.

b_true,

This book talks about how we can harness the negative energy rather or drown in it. It does ask some hard questions like "why do we fear love?", "why are we never satisfied?", "how do we invite betrayal?", "what unconscious drives are at work?". Warning: it is not lite reading!

I ordered mine through amazon.com.

Wow! 4.5 years is a long time! Good luck in your journey to healing. You can do it!
