Well, the judge would not grant me a divorce on irreconcileable differences. So now we are going to have to turn around and let my husband file on the grounds that I committed adultery. What a nightmare this has turned into. I never thought that we would be denied a divorce. So, no, I did not tell X-OM anything. My first concern now is to get this divorce finalized. Please keep me in your prayers. I want to get this over with.

I'm a new writer to the board, but have been lurking for sometime. I read your message yesterday about going to court and thought about you later on in the day. I am so sorry that things did not work out the way you had hoped. My thoughts and prayers are with you. These people here on the boards seem to be very supportive. If you want to vent, I'll be here to listen, and I'm sure many many others will be as well.

Would not grant you a divorce????????

Are you allowed to use "extreme mental cruelty" as grounds for divorce in your state? Since it's a public record it might be easier on your kids to use those grounds instead of adultery.......

I am flabberghasted that the judge felt so pompously self-righteous to not grant you irreconciable differences. Did you husband say something at the hearing to lead the
