Happy Birthday (early) Dee!

I was going to wait and post this on Friday (the weekends are slow so I thought Friday would be better) but the cat is already out of the bag now and besides it looks like you could use a good laugh!

E1-
Whew. I am sooo glad you cleared that up! I thought you hired the oldies to swing it because you couldn't trust me to keep it in my pants after what I did to that naughty Chippendale boy the last time in Vegas. (it's not cheating if you pay for it!!) What a relief to know that the Golden Poles were merely a mistake (meh, you pulled the wrong card from your personal rolodex; it could happen to anyone.)

Don't worry about my mom -- She always faints when she's that riled up. I'm just thankful your house has such thick shag carpet! Anyhoo, Mom hasn't been that miffed since Jerry Springer admonished her to 'watch her language' or get kicked off the show. For crying out loud, I didn't _intentionally_ barge into the butler's pantry to catch her with that geriatric bouncer goon. I mean! really! who needs to see THAT! Did you know it's impossible to disinfect your eyeballs? (my sight is slowly returning and I'm pretty sure I can sue Lysol in spite of the warning on the label. Nobody reads nowadays; they should know that!)

Oh, and - btw - dude with the walker has excellent _lower_ body strength too. Nuck, nuck! Or, at least this is what your Aunt told me. Oh, and take note...She's NEVER invited back. I really did not appreciate her youtube posting of me praying for death on the potty. GD that green stuff; I could have _sworn_ it was guacamole. Anyway, your Aunt's a real piece of work. I never would have posted her bail had she not been in the same holding cell with Mom. Mom made me do it. She felt sorry for Ruthie. Apparently, Walker Dude (aka Lloyd) jilted her and left her holding fake digits. Her 'One Call' was just her screaming in to the phone, "What do you MEAN this isn't the right number??!" and threatening to kill the poor woman on the other line for 'stealing her man'. This really touched a cord with Mom. She's a softy that way. (somebody owes me $400, that's all I know)

Man, you are so right about the Hollywood Station having the most jolly cops! They were laughing and carrying on like a barrel full of monkeys the whole time I was filling out the release forms for the ladies. I think they may have been poking fun at us, though; especially when your aunt insisted on getting back the Do Not Resuscitate form that Lloyd wrote his (fake) number on. When my mom yelled, Geez, *%*$#@ give it up, Ruth!", they started going at it like prehistoric banshees. I beat feet before the tasers were drawn. Good times.

A really successful weekend in my book, E1, and I love you to bits for putting it together for me. Nobody does it like YOU do! xoxoxox

Dee-contaminated.

>:-/ Way to bring down the room, Alice!! Thanks a lot! ha.

Paxil: I reduced my dose by half for two weeks, sometimes skipped a day, with no ill effects. The one time I went three days without a dose, I was hearing clanking noises in my brain as I tried to fall asleep. Creepy! So, I got up and took a pill. I still have night sweats, which sucks, but I'm still hopeful they'll go away when the Paxil is out of my system. I do notice more edginess and anxiety, occasional tightness in my chest from stress, and some snippiness when irritated -- but, it's all manageable with behavior and thought modifications (working on it, at least.) One really nice thing about getting off the Paxil is that my sex drive is BACK! Ya, so, my H and I don't have a sex life (at all) but I do! giggle.

Drinking: I still drink. I am not attending AA anymore because I don't think I'm an alcoholic. I feel like I mask my feelings with diversions. I will address my drinking from that perspective and not from the perspective that I am an out-of-control drinker. I drink only in moderation now, and much less often. Still, I could do less - or none - and I'm mindful of that.

Weight: Getting off the paxil is helping with the insatiable appetite. I lost about 6 lbs so far. I would be happier if I had the time to work out but this entire past week has been nuts with too much overtime and houseguests, to boot.

Thank you for asking about me and for the birthday wishes! I'll be rocking my 43rd Loud and Proud, because that's how I roll!

Cheers,
Dee

Not only can this board provide support for those going through the trials of ending an affair, it can also have us spewing our morning coffee on our laptops !! And I guess that's a good thing. This thread is hilarious.
Dee - happy birthday. I wish we could all take you out and show you a real good time, minus the pole dancers and the walker dude. (the pictures in my mind) I hope your day is all you want it to be and more. Now, go make it happen girlfriend! Birthday wishes and hugs, Bandk

Happy Birthday Dee. I am so glad you are part of this community. It would not be the same without you. I, for one, am a better person for sharing this journey with you.

Hugs,
