Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.
>>"I felt like God was telling me. "Listen I gave you a gift, I gave you the gift of freedom from him with his break up so stop moping around and do something with it. "I gave you your life back, your family, your sanity so in return please try with everything in you to let this go" "<<
That was so beautiful what you wrote. And so true! When I read the title of your thread , I thought xAP gave you a gift. But then I read further and it took my breath away. It's true. God gives us freedom by taking the xAP's away from us. Thanks for posting this
It is a gift...a very amazing one..one that allows us to learn about ourselves and how to love in a way to me. A gift that we didn't keep losing ourselves in the A road and everyone in our lives along the way.
What a great thing to read first thing in the morning!!!
Funny how people will interpret the title of a thread before reading it. I thought you were going to say that XMM has given you the gift of NC. Many don't realize it on here, but when they do stop contacting us, it really is a gift, not a rejection or punishment like so many think.
Then as I read your post I remembered he is your BIL, so complete NC would be impossible, especially during the holidays. But girl, the rest of your post was awesome. You are starting to see the real person behind the XMM mask and although it can be disheartening, at the same time it can be very liberating. As they say, "The truth will set you free."
When we run, have a good work out, etc., the endorphins in our system get fired up and for a few minutes we can actually have eye-opening moments of clarity. I strongly advise all of you to get into an exorcise program. Anyway, the run, the church, the moment of clarity all came together. It touched you, my friend, right in the center of your soul and you heard the words your needed to hear. "A moment of truth" is what I call it. Embrace it and keep running with it. It will get through any tough times that lay ahead.
Hah! I didn't think it looked right but I was too lazy to do spell checker. Come to think of it though, exorcizing those demons from our heads is not such a bad idea, eh?
Classy,
What a beautiful post!
I agree! It is a gift and an answer to prayer.

Are we advocating 'exorcisms' these days?
