My story is just like everyone else's so it feels kind of stupid to tell it.

Hi unbreakme! You've gotten great advice here...I just want to welcome you and say I completely understand. I'm a newbie too and all I can say is let your emotions wash over you as they come and go..I know it doesn't seem like it now but truly it gets better as you get past every day. NC is the way to healing..let's walk through this together! :)

I think you understand from my fellow posters what you need to do, so I will just take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and welcome you to the BIGGEST, BEST thing you've ever done for yourself.

Welcome to the community and congrats on ending a toxic R.

I agree with the advice of other that it is best to focus on ending and then after you have some time out from the A, you will be in a better place to decide what to do about your M.

As far as the LC (limited contact) goes, have you checked out the Rules for Limited Contact thread in the Healing Library?

Although it was mainly written for those that have to work with xAP, it still has some good overall guidelines on how to deal in LC situations.

It is a very challenging for healing from an A but some have been successful at doing it such as Iddy our CL who works with her xAP. It’s good that you are finding ways to eventually remove yourself from having to deal with LC at all.

Here is the link. Hope it helps:

It always feels so good to go to T and let it all out. It’s good you have a T that is supportive of NC.

Thank you for the excerpt. I have been struggling to find something that I can share at my father’s “Remembrance” and I believe this excerpt is perfect!

Thank you,

E1

Though it's not hard to do right now, E1, you made me cry.
