This is a great post to wake up to. Heck, I was sawing logs when you wrote this so am I correct to assume you're on the West Coast somewhere? Although my clock says 6:30 AM (ugh), it's still 7:30 AM in my brain, so I actually slept in. :smileywink: It takes me a while to get adjusted to Daylight Savings Time.
Yes, a month here can do wonders in how we think and feel IF we stick to the program, listen to the sage advice around here, focus on ourselves, and share our feelings openly. That is what support is all about, and I am very proud of you for bringing it here even if 18 months had already passed. I was still not at indifference yet when I was 18 months out. Just knowing they are close enough to still breath our air can be very intimidating. Learning how to live in our "new" normal can take a long time, but when we have the knowledge, the determination, and the tools to survive the damage we caused ourselves, anything can be accomplished.
I never had the guts to look back on my old post, but it I believe it can be very therapeutic for some. Just knowing you got a laugh out of some of the things that were said then, definitely shows progress and growth. Kudos to you, honey.
you are a marvel! i have so enjoyed reading your posts--you are delightfully expressive and have a great sense of humor. you were obviously well on your way to healing before you found us, but it makes me happy to see that your arrival here has sped up the process.
Your post just cast a whole lot of sunshine all over the place!! What a wonderful testament to the power of this board!!!
I am so happy for you and for your growth.
There are many ladies struggling right now. I hope your post can help give them some hope that it really does get better and they are soon going to find themselves in a much happier place.
You didn't make me cry sadness tears...you made me cry tears of releif...tears of somebody inderstands...tears of who the hell else knows what hell I am in????
