I totally and wholeheartedly agree with you moonunit....a lot of folks on here constantly compare the downside of the affair to the upside of a "true" committed realtionship....which if you are even lucky to find that doesn't last either. ALL relationships lose their luster in time...whether it is an affair...or a living together arrangement.

Very true - that's why I said if the OP is satisfied with the status quo, then stay.
Only you can decide when you've had enough, when you're no longer happy with things as they are.
