While in church on Sunday, I recognized that I had broken two commandments:

Thanks Hope,

Those are very powerful words. I will pray for you. The bible especially the NT speaks about forgiveness. The hardest thing for us to do sometimes is forgive ourselves.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.

From one Catholic to another (I'm assuming you are Catholic), those words never meant more to me than when I ended my A and went to reconciliation.

My faith and the sacrifice Jesus made for us makes perfect sense to me, now, because I have sunk so low.

I am not Catholic but I love what you've all said. As a fellow Christian I offer my opinion about the things that happen in our lives. I believe everything that happens to a believer is filtered through the loving hands of God. Sometimes we are spared the consequences of our choices, sometimes we are not. But when we do suffer, things are revealed to us that we could not have known without the suffering. Like a veil being lifted from our eyes. Even though we've chosen our own paths, God can bring good through what was meant by evil (not calling us evil, just the temptation). And I wish each of you the good that comes from God!
