How's everyone doing?

I know a few of you, including myself, are in Sandy's path.  MH has been downplaying it.  He's so accustomed to the weather folks being over dramatic more often than not.  And, this is N.E.  We are use to hurricanes.  But, they are making this sound like a megastorm.  I'm hoping that as she draws closer, as has happened with other storms, she'll peter out somewhat...not sure about this one.

We expect she'll be blowing in tomorrow around noon. We have our own municipal electrical grid (or whatever you would call it) and we rarely lose our electricity...even it seems in the worst of circumstances.  And, if it does go out, it's usually up and running within a reason amount of time. My idea of a reasonable amount of time equates with the life of my computer battery :)

I'm preparing...filling some water bottles, got batteries, the larder is full...I just heard that the more food in the freezer, the longer it'll last should there be an outage...makes sense.  Got cat supplies.  We'll let Callie out for her early morning routine, only because we know she comes back in around 10...and then she's in.  The battery to my computer doesn't last all that long, so I might not be able to get on if the power is out for any length of time.  I'm charging up my cell.  I have my trusty flashlights and a couple of candles.  It's all we can do.

I pray for your safety along with your loved ones.  After Sandy has passed through, post in to let us know how you made out.

((group hug))

Sending out thoughts and prayers to everyone that you are and stay safe.

Hi Clarity! We've been hearing about the frankenstorm too and it all sounds really scary, I hope you are right and that it does peter out without causing too much damage!

By the way, as you can see I have tried to move with the times and get a bit more "with it" so have added a jolly picture to go with my new name and a nice positive affirmation to go at the bottom of my posts, so I'm feeling quite proud of myselfSmile

Hey Clarity...we are also in the path of Sandy...Was happy that my boss texted me yesterday and closed the office.  The office is in a flood prone area.  So tomorrow is looking like another day home...Schools are closed today and tomorrow.  I just think back to Irene last year...the area where I live was devastated for days.  There was no traveling anywhere.  The flooding was awful.  I am praying that this passes without that devastation.

Be safe!  (((HUGS)))

I have to laugh at the stream of "closed" listings.

Might just as well say "Today is closed"

Oh ladies!!  I will pray for your safety up there in N.E.!

Thanks for the shout out Clarity.  And, Soglad, thank you for your response on AAS board.  I will follow up more with that over there.

It was three weeks ago last Thursday that I sent the final NC email.  And it was a rough mark to climb over.  Really rough.  And, my emotions are still flowing all over the place.  Wondering, being angry, being sad……

And, for the first time, I am starting to see the “other side” of this mess.  I feel like I’m watching myself, just sitting back and looking at a play, watching the “movie”.  And, I must say, I really was in the fog and believed so much of what I was told, led to believe.  Ugh.

So, I’m still moving forward.  It’s hard.

My H is working a ton of hours and is not home much; that doesn’t help things.  But, I kept busy this weekend, had a dinner party Saturday night with several dear friends (my H got home just in time!), went to a book festival in my city (I live in a large city) with my girlfriend and daughter and her friend.  Listened to live music; it was a beautiful day yesterday-weather was perfect!  My girlfriend lives down the street from XAP and so she picked me up.  I just told her I wasn’t ready to drive by his house and God forbid, should he see me in his neighborhood!  Would NOT want to give him the wrong impression.  She has been through the A with me and is a wonderful support.  (She does not like XAP at all!)

So, I’m living.  And trying to be okay………

It’s so very hard……..

You are living!  It's more than you were doing while in the affair. Affairs just do not nourish our soul...rather they suck the very life out of us, leaving us bankrupt physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Seems to me as if you are actually 'doing' okay more than just 'trying' to be okay...by hanging out with, and appreciating the, fine company...noticing and appreciating the perfect weather, music.  The people who love you, good music, good times...now *these* are what nourish you.

Now you are really living.

((hugs))
