I started posting on here just recently. Before mustering up the courage to devulge my saga, I was a lurker, hiding in the shawdows of the truth and wisdom that is so unselfishly offered on these boards. (Just stay away from "All Sides of the Affair" board. They are vicious ;) BUT, still there was always that personal experience I was needing to have, that would tell me I am on the right track with the decisions I am making. Today I received it; darn near directly from the BIG man upstairs, IMO.

I have my grown kids here for the holidays. They are all still asleep from a late night last night, and so I decided to run to the store and pick up some last minute things for our Memorial Day barbeque later on today. For some strange reason I woke up in probably the best frame of mind I've had in a long time. The usual doom and gloom that consume my first waking moments wasn't there today. Anyway, so I am off to the store, and here I am greeting perfect strangers outside of the store, in the store and on my way back to my truck. I NEVER DO THIS....SAY WHAT???? As I was loading stuff into my truck I saw a woman approaching me and new instinctively that it was a Jehovah's Witness advocate. Now mind you, if I were at home, I would not even open the door to these people. For a sinner, such as myself, I am terrified that I would burst into flames :)

So, she walks up to me and very briefly says, "I want you to have this. Have a nice day."

She didn't corner me, lecture me, ask me to repent, or hollar, "YOU WICKED WOMAN" (like I thought I would get), just "I want you to have this", with a big smile. I looked down at the pamphlet she handed me, and on the Cover page in BIG BLUE letters, was just ONE word: HOPE" Well my friends, that was my SIGN. Goosebumps traveled down my spine. I instantly knew then and there that I am on the right path.....

For those of you that have NO idea what I am talking about, read my thread on "Help me to follow through." Happy Memorial Day to you all and I HOPE all of you will take a moment to reflect upon all of those who have put their life on the line for us,

Wow... I got chills. HOPE! There are signs all around us -- we just have to be "ready2listen." :)
