I lurk around on slow days at work. I'm ashamed to say I had a 10yr affair (yuck). I'm a MW.

I dont' know you - have you been to the board before?
I gather that your 10yr thing is now over and that you've been able to go NC without any problem?
As far as being normal - there is no such thing in recovery after an A. In your situation (if I read it right) you tapered off after a few years until you just severed the "formality" of it at the end of 10.- whereas many of us had it full speed on a day to day thing - and yes, it may take 13 months, or 5 years - because recovery is NOT about the A as much as it is about the person trying to recover.
As for bringing MAS up - I'm not sure what you are fishing for - No judgement from me for that board as I used to be on it. We all have phases in life - and it means not making any judgement about something that has nothing to do with you or your recovery.
If you are new - welcome - please give an intro so we can know more about you and where you are in the process.
Much love,
Bluecar,
