How did you change your thinking? Was it automatic after time, or did you have to coach yourself somehow? Did you have a re-thinking/reprogramming mantra or some other magic trick? I am so close, soooo close, to getting to that fork in the road but I keep back sliding -- which for me means getting melancholy, though not so bad as to care to break NC. Still, hurts like hell and is totally counterproductive to healing.
Your Awesome!...I too had the benefit of failure soooo many times!...I get it though, if you thought you could help one person by doing right it the first time.
Hey, NS - Omg, you are soooo correct about "pathetic"! That word and my revulsion to it are KEY for me. In fact, this morning in a work meeting, I was making a list of Phrases that I could repeat every time I began to 'choose' to think about xAP in a wistful way, and 'pathetic' jumped off the page and roundhouse kicked me upside the head. That one word kind of says it all, doesn't it?
I have to wait two more weeks to officially honor you "Tweener, " eh? What if I want to do that now? I could really use a new Tweener sidekick immediately, but because it's protocol to make it 3 months, I guess I will have to be patient right along side of you until then. ;-)

Good Post Gallooklingforlcosure....
I will have to say first I am not necessarily disappointed or disheartened by the ladies breaking NC or temped to do so.
Thanks, Gal.
Good Post. Really good post.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dee -
I wish I could offer everyone (including myself) a magic potion that would automatically change our way of thinking.
New Season -
Thanks for the response.
In my mind, the word pathetic means the worst of the worst.
