It's been a while :)
Find a Conversation

I suppose that by the time you have given time the chance to work some of it's magic and you are clear of the fog you find yourself distancing from all this A stuff. Four years out of my A, (3 of low-contact/no-contact) and I can say I feel like I have lived a hundred lives. I'm in a good place. I'm not sure what exactly brought me back here today - in a weird way it's probably my own version of AA......a refresher of the emotional riptide that erupts when you choose to have the A in your life.
For those who don't know me, I had an A with one of my "first loves" from high-school after we reconnected on FB. Both of us were married. At the end I opted to leave my 20 year marriage and the A at the same time which was brutal. Reading through your messages has opened emotions that I carefully put away years ago, but not in a bad way. My xAP still occasionally tries to bridge the gap between us and "restore" our friendship (we work in the same work arena), but I no longer have any stress over deleting any non-work related emails. It's because of this board and the tools I learned here that I am a much stronger and happier person :)
Perhaps it's the change in life that is happening again (I graduated with my Masters last month) that has me reflecting and looking for the food and support I got from this board :) I'm glad to see other familiar faces still around :)
