Okay - it's been a blah week, we've had a lot of downs and as we get going toward the weekend, I feel like we all need to remind ourselves of how FAR we have come in the course of our ending.

DL,
no post-A issues are insignificant. we all have our own cross to bear and reviewing all that we DO overcome, including falling down and picking back up are HUGE moments of growth. We tend to not see them tho, because we are still hurting. I can understand the longevity of your A simply because I've known my xAP for 25+ years. It does not mean that my course has been harder or easier than anyones - it simply is my journey. I am proud of toughing it out - i feel stronger and I know in time I will feel amazing. I would love to invite you all to graduation - I'll post details as we get closer!! Thanks!! I know you are new, but share your timeline!

Lolly -

Like you, I've learned so much from EAS about just being human. The good, the bad and the ugly! I'm short on time this week so the Reader's Digest version of my timeline:

Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a girl we'll call Bodhi, made a poor choice and became involved with a married man. This was back in simpler times, late 2002 to be exact. When gas prices were only $1.30 a gallon. It started innocently enough - worked on a project together, lunch, phone calls, attention, BAM - I was sucked in. March 2003 - first kiss. June 27, 2010 ended it. Everything between is way too yucky to even think about. 7.5 long, toxic years with little happiness or joy.

Recovering from it has been a long process, and I'm still working on it. I did sort of a timeline of recovery after the first 3 months when I became a Tweener:

Since then, it's building upon the solid foundation every day. Some days are good, some days are bad - but that's real life!

Thanks Lolly, I'm still in the very early days of healing but already I can feel the progress.

My timeline in a nutshell: My family moved interstate for my H's job, but much of my work is still in our old hometown. On one of my first work trips back

P.S. Lolly, how exciting to have finished your degree! That's wonderful news. Your graduation will be such a day for celebration. I bet your kids are really proud of their mom :)

I would like to share a few of my successes throughout the last 3 mos after Ending the a:

I have been able to shift most of my thoughts and responsibility on myself for the most part. And thus have empowered myself to change what I can.

Ive been COMMITTED to my goal of getting OVER this - through this- end this - and SOLVE this. That unwavering determination to get over it - has made me press ON and ON and NEVER give up; even though I had my 'bad' days.

Ive learned so much and have been so raw and honest with myself - that Im really not as frightened by 1) my emotions and 2) my real flaws (or issues)

Ive talked better, more nurturing and loving towards myself

Ps. Lolly,

What I know now, is that I am a good person who made some bad decisions.
