I have a 17-year-old son that like most teens, struggles with self esteem. He woke up feeling down, so I had him tell me 5 things that are amazing about himself. He did, and then I told him 10 more things that were amazing. We all struggle with our own self worth - I know I do, which is why I loved New Season's story about the $20 bill yesterday.
We haven't done this for awhile on Zenseday and since there are a lot of newbies, I thought it would be good today. Tell me 5 things that are amazing about yourself. And keep those 5 things in the forefront of your thoughts today.
Here are mine:
1. I am a great mom.
2. I am very caring, loving and thoughtful.
3. I am a successful business owner.
4. I am determined to grow as a human being.
5. I did 6 bikram yoga classes in the past 5 days!

Thanks to all who posted in! Here are mine for now...
1) I taught myself to play guitar and now both write and sing songs.
2) I have a fantastic memory... especially when it comes to numbers.
3) I am really good at math!
4) I am an excellent teacher! I have had 3 college students tell me that I changed their life!
5) I have a truly wonderful positive spirit that is best expressed by my smiles, my hugs, and my MOVES on the dance floor! :)
P.S. Bodhi "The Body" has peaked my interest in the hot yoga practice as well. And as soon as I am cleared for strenuous activity I WILL give it a try!
Much love to you all!

First of all, I have to say thank you for this safe place, I have learned so much during this last week, however;
LOVE Zenseday :)
I really need the positivity tonight- thanks Bodhi. My things:
1. I have raised amazing and wonderful children. I may have been distant the last few years but I am now aware of that and I am getting my Mum-jo back :)
2. I have a great sense of humour- I always find something to laugh about and Im generally optimistic by nature.
3. I am really smart. I have a quick brain, great problem solver and this is helping me forge a great career that I am very proud of.
4. My friends and family love me. Despite my semi-depressed mode the last few mths- they are always there for me and make me feel loved.
5. I am getting healthier. Every day I am a step closer to my 'healthier mind body and soul'
I am currently googling Bikram to find it in my city! How inspiring are you guys!!!

I took my oldest son swimming with dolphins off the coast of a tiny island in the pacific ocean.
I won a scholarship to Harvard when I was 42 weeks pregnant with our third child
