As you know, I have been thinking of him way too much and seemed stuck in the bargaining stage. Well, I made a breakthrough. Yesterday, in a moment of panic, I thought about digging my vibe out of the garbage. Then, the symbolism of the act struck me between the eyes and stopped me cold. Why in the world would I dig through

There is a huge difference between trying to "get over it" and "heal" by living day to day and floating through the time zone, hoping the feelings subside over time

What a positive way to start the morning, picturing that item in the garbage can and choosing to keep it there and walking away from it was great. I hope you don't mind but iam going to keep your post for my journal, you really had an excellant way of describing the difference of healing and just getting over ir!

Thank goodness trash day is today. I'm having a better time thinking of the trash bag thrown among the stinking, rotting pile of landfill garbage, perhaps being circled by buzzards, than it being burned. Fire would be too quick and humane.
