may I ask a non-A related question?

Oh, man, I hope I don't get spanked for this but I really wanted to ask a non-A specific question and take advantage of the amazing resources of this board for some feedback. I really cannot find the answer to this question anywhere else, at least, not in the real and honest way I can here. Again, I am sorry if it's incredibly inappropriate and I apologize in advance if it is.
Faking Os was brought up the other day. I wanted to know.... oooofff... soooo difficult to say.... here goes: Do you fake it? Do you always fake it? how common is it to have or NOT have Os during sex? The Oscars are coming up next week, and if they had a category for Faking It, I'd be preparing my speech and buying a designer dress right about now. I am beginning to think I'm an sad anomaly or that Os during sex for women is just a cruel urban myth.
Ok, flame or share. I just had to give it a try.

I love this post!! I faked it all the time!! It was fun and exciting and HOT but never got to experience The Big O. I have to give him an A for effort though, he certainly tried hard :) Here's an interesting fact though - if I imagine xAP while with H, I don't need to fake it and it's almost the one way I can get there. Hmmm...interesting.
And we never used condoms. I guess he assumed I was on the pill (I am) and I assumed since he was older that he had had his business taken care of. Looking back, I realize how dumb that was - we never even discussed it. I often wonder why he never asked if he should use one?? Especially since if I had gotten prego, I could have taken some of his millions :)
The big “O”…Ohhhh no I would never fake it and get it several times a week and my DH likes it Fridays especially.
Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.
Dee,
I know you have posted in the past about taking meds to get though these difficult times, as I have just started taking them myself.
E1-
Lordie, lordie. You did NOT say Oprah! You really need to learn to censure yourself, woman! ha.
I'm all weepy and emo today. I made an appointment to discuss hormones and med adjustment with Dr. for tomorrow. I will bring up the lack of O with him now, too. In short, never have had O with anybody else besides good ol' me. I LOVE sex. Don't really mind not having the O in sex, but then again, never knew the difference. Oy! but after reading all these posts, I am getting more and more determined to fix that shiz. Hubby has very, very low sex drive -- been going on for about four years. No sex EVAH is just plain bad for the R, irrespective of whether I'm faking it or not! I will ask Dr. about H's sitch, too. H needs to see a Dr. or a therapist (probably BOTH).
RE: the information that is 'out there'. read it. not helping! Well, first I need a partner, riiiiight? evs! And I think I might be hopeless. I've only had 4, that's right... 4! partners in RL. Three virgins (one was my first husband) and then H#2 -- I was screwed in the screwing department!
I'm ever so thankful for everyone's frank and funny responses. I just LOVE these girls.

Dee-ing without
Oh, yah yah! This is very good point and i'm touched that you recalled I mentioned that! Paxil has really taken the edge off of everything for me. Highs are not so high. lows not so low. and the sex drive drove off a long time ago. As I just told E1, going to the Dr. tomorrow and I'm thankful I have your suggestion to bring in with me.

Dee-
I faked it so much with DH that I started to believe that I was incapable of ever achieving another O.
Dee,
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the antidepps, they can definitely interfere...still feels good, but just can't quite get over that edge - frustrating. Once I went off, it was noticeably easier to achieve.
With me, I have never had an O during intercourse, only with manual/vag stimulation. I most definitely have faked it...usually with xAP because I couldn't relax. Often times it was just too much pressure/not enough time/guilt etc.
Hope this helps a bit,
Misty
oh, you are a brave girl!
a significantly large number of women do not experience orgasms from vaginal penetration alone. it partially depends on a woman's anatomy---the distance from the vagina to the clitoris. also depends on the position for intercourse---cowgirls can sometimes get it in the right spot. :)
quite simply, it is very normal not to have orgasms with intercourse unless there is concurrent tactile stimulation of the clitoris. i work in women's health and hear about this issue quite often.
i don't think there's anything wrong with you, dee, acting talent aside.

Ok, I just gotta ask - why do "Cowgirls" have an advantage in O"'s !!!
I'm assuming they know how to ride in the saddle, but beyond that, enlighten me. I might just have to go find that pony I rode every day when I was a kid. And I'm from Texas!! A cowgirl at heart, but I guess not a cowgirl in the , well, ya'll know!!!
