Hello my wonderful EAS sisters-
I apologize for my absence from the board for the past week or so. I've been investing in me. And although I feel a great need to be here to support all of our newbies (pay it forward), I had to take a break for me and my M, and let me tell you, it's been great. I am 137 days NC today. I can't believe that. When I stared this journey, I wasn't sure I'd make it. Xap certainly didn't think I would, but I did and I couldn't be happier. So to you newbies- you can do it. You take it day by day, and one day, you will wake up and realize the day to day struggle to cope has subsided and you have your real life back. I have been so busy with my real life and it's exhilarating. So come here, read, post, garner the strength, and YOU WILL MAKE IT.
Hugs,

Hi Jane,
Thank you for the update (-: I too have been taking a break from the board. I felt a little burnt out - my zealous start to ending my A, marked by lots and lots of posting, soon took away from being able to take care of myself better. I still read every single post, but there are days when the freshness of a new ending brings me too much pain. I feel a little overwhelmed - with the familiarity of those feelings that flood you when you are ending, but also the strangeness of them. Like, how did I ever feel that way and survive? Because, I realize, we all come to this board in that bad of shape, and that's so scary and sad. Our vets and tweeners are my absolute heros - you are my soul sisters. Your relentless care is the life of this board (hey, where's Dee?!)
And yet, like your post reminds me, we make it, and soon we are no longer just surviving but THRIVING.
one breath, one minute, one hour, one day, one week at a time ...
TU.

I am a newbie...one week NC...and was actually thinking about the same things: taking care of me and my M. I started a list of things to fill my time with instead of A, I have filled 'free time' with some of these things so I do not call

I'm happy to read your update, Jane. It really *is* all about taking care of you. RL will return when we do this, unless of course you have to see your past indescretion 5 days a week. ;-)
Thanks for stopping in and offering a hand yesterday. Hope you will do that once in a while.
Love and hugs,
~Iddy~
Hey beautiful Jane,
I got warm fuzzies reading your post.
Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.
