I'm hoping he will too! Good for you getting to the gym Lolly! I've been a runner my whole life. I have to resort to the tread mill during this time of year, but it's better than nothing. I can't really make suggestions regarding workout songs - I tend to listen to anything and everything, depending on my mood. You can't go wrong with songs that include great drum solos like Won't Get Fooled Again or Moby Dick.

I would like to post some lyrics in honor of Foggy - I saw Guster in concert Saturday night and this song was absolutely amazing in person and the lyrics spoke to me:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdaOvfDUJL8

Dorothy moves to click her ruby shoes
Right in tune with dark side of the moon
Someone, someone could tell me
Where I belong
Be calm, be brave, it'll be okay
No more messing around and living underground
And new year's resolutions
By this time next year I won't be here
I turn on MTV, the volume's down
Lips move, they say
It'll be okay
To tell you the truth, I've said it before
Tomorrow I start in a new direction
One last time these words from me
I'm never saying them again
and I shut the light
and listen as my watch unwinds
To tell you the truth, I've said it before
Tomorrow I start in a new direction
I know I've been half-asleep
I'm never doing that again
I look straight at what's coming ahead
and soon its going to change in a new direction
Every night as I'm falling asleep
These words repeating in my head
Voices calling from a yellow road
To come downstairs and say hello
Don't be shy, just say hello
To tell you the truth, I've said it before
Tomorrow I start in a new direction
I know I've been half-asleep
I'm never doing that again
I look straight at what's coming ahead
and soon its going to change in a new direction
Every night as I'm falling asleep
These words repeated in my head

Hi Lolly,

Yep this is definitely Foogy’s domain but I have a few I’d like to share.

What is your pleasure for work out songs? Pop, Country, Rock, R&B, Classical?

For workouts I like a hard driving bass beat. That seems to keep me going.

I walk my dog and I have an elliptical machine at home that I work out on regularly. I use to be a gym rat but with gas prices being so high, I’ve been doing more workouts at home.

I’m a bit old school in my song selection though.

Some of my favs for workouts are:

Smooth Criminal (The Alien Ant Farm version because it is a faster beat then the one done my Michael Jackson. Alien Ant Farm’s version is around 130 beats per minute and pretty consistent throughout the song.)

New Shoes by Paolo Nutini

Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas

Poker Face by Lady Gaga

Right Round by Flo Rider

Pocketful Of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield

The Obvious Child by Paul Simon

You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon

Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.

I have to preface this list with an apology to Foggy because this it's kind of a boys suck playlist, but I find it helpful when I need to kick my own booty into gear at the gym. [xxoo, Foggy! :smileytongue:]
