Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart... Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens. I started looking inside and went NC October 15, 2010
I'm gonna clear out my head
I'm gonna get myself straight
I know it's never too late
To make a brand new start
I'm gonna kick down the door
I'm gonna get myself in
I'm gonna fix up the yard
And not fall back again
I'm gonna CLEAN up my earth
And build a heaven ON the ground
Not something distant or unfound
But something real to me
But something real to me
All that I can I can be
All that I am I CAN see
All that is mine is in my hands
So to myself I call
There's somewhere else I should be
There's someone else I CAN see
There's something more I can find
IT'S ONLY UP TO ME
I'm gonna clean up my earth
And build a heaven ON the ground
Not something distant on a cloud
But something real to me
But something real to me
I'm gonna clear out my head
I'm gonna get myself straight
I KNOW it's never too late
To make a brand new start
To make a brand new start
To make a brand new start
Hi foggy, it's still Monday for me but for alot of people here it's probably already Tuesday! The song that I have found really calming and helps me start my day on a positive note is Free by the Zac Brown Band:)
You know Heartache if you would have named any other country start I probably would have been hard pressed to know them...but I had his first (big) album as a teenager. For me he is the cusp between the old time country of Willie and Johnny and the new 'Country Pop' that dominates the airwaves now. You are so right in what you say about unanswered prayers....that should be the official anti-fog anthem for this place! As NCx once so lovingly said she would have been stuck eating burgers for years when she had grade A stake to chew on at home! One line from that album that has never left my line in all my years...and rang loudly in my ears after a few of the very limited PA encounters I had in 10 months with xAP.... "And the lightnin' flashes in her eyes...And he knows that she knows!"
Thanks Hearts and thanks Oprah! Thanks for playing Foggy
Yeah Dee, I'm with you...i much prefer Genesis to anything that came out of Phil's solo career, but hellz bellz what a great revisit to an old song! Thanks so much. What a great attitude to strive for. Newbies...repeat it like a mantra until it becomes true!
I love destiny's child...well again way back when I had their first album (was a big Wyclef fan and loved his guest spots on that album). One song I loved of that album that has crazy new meaning and power now is Killing Time.
As for this one its got a great uplifting beat and lyrics....however I prefer the chorus and bridge to the actual verses. To me they still put to much focus on getting over what the other person thought. Who cares what the heck they think...the fact is I'M the survivor...right?!
Thanks Jen! Another one I've never heard of. Love the celtic beginning. And great lyrics. Looked at some other live stuff and these guys can groove! Found one of them doing Perl Jam's black that is great!!!
