My first NC weekend, I did it! (barely)

I don't have internet at home, so I couldn't come here for support, or to read, which stunk! But I did it! I was fine during the day, but as soon as night came I kept catching myself finding excuses on WHY I had to text him. Even wrote a few out,

Oh, MO!
Good for you! And good for you for seeing that the reasons you were thinking of to contact him were just excuses. It is a good idea to journal what you would like to tell them a lot less tempting to hit the send button when it is just written down not on an email or text. Also Jane has a thread in the Healing Library about the 48 hour rule (not sure if you have had a chance to read there yet and I will try to find the thread and bump it up).
The 48 hour rule is when you get the urges/impulses to text/email/call xAP, you sit on the notion for 48 hours.
Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.
First can I just say how awesome you all are, and your advice :) This board has already helped me SO much. Now the compliment on the hair didn't take long from MM, I was just in the kitchen getting coffee, and he strolls in.... Immediately told me he liked my hair, and how good it looked.... Then went on to compliment my "new" boots... He was all, well look at you, new boots too. (they aren't new, it just got cold enough to wear them.... He tried to engage me in convo about my weekend, since he heard me tell someone I put my xmas tree up (I know it's early, I LOVE xmas lol) He asked if my girls were all jazzed about me doing that. I just said no, they haven't been home. He looked like he had been punched in the gut when I said that, because I used to ALWAYS tell him on weekends my girls weren't home.... Then I just walked out. I couldn't say nothing, as there were others in the kitchen, and there are already rumors about us (months ago we were told we would be fired if they found out they were true), so I just made it short, and walked out as soon as possible.
Ugghh, can't get away from him, ran into the kitchen w/ him AGAIN. I was there first this time, luckily his dad was in there too, so no chit chat. Oh did I meantion I also work w/ his dad!
LOVE THAT YOU DYED YOUR HAIR!~
LOVE THAT YOU GOT THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITHOUT POSTING OR READING!!!???? (HOW COULD I)??
LOVE THAT YOU KEEP POSTING HERE WHILE YOU'RE GOING THROUGH ALL THESE DAY TO DAY triggers.
You're serious about this, aren't you?!?!?!?!?
:)
High Fives on being TOUGH AS NAILS!!!!
xo,
Michelle
Congratulations MO
That is a huge accomplishment.
Oh yeah, not only do I work w/
Oh, forgot to add, ran into him again at the end of lunch (seriously, I should take a pic of how small our office is, easy to run into someone lol, and we all HAVE to take lunch at the same time..) He was really fishing that time, he offered me part of his lunch (ummm NO THANK YOU) and then was all, yeah my phones dead, and I lost my charger.. Hello, #1 WHY WOULD I TEXT YOU, #2 Even if I did text him and he didn't write back that would be NORMAL, he NEVER WROTE BACK. I just said, I wont be texting you, he then said, oh you can text me whenever you want. I almost started crying, but I just said no, I can't and walked away again. If I had time to take off I would do it now, this is SO hard.
