I do feel terrible that he (and 9 others in his dept) lost their jobs.

Clear,

I don't think nvr actually ever "prayed" for xAP to be laid-off, in all likelihood just to not have to work with him anymore. I don't think she's happy that he and nine other lost their jobs, she's just relieved that she won't have to see him anymore. And honestly, what's so selfish about that? How many of us have not felt relief when a co-worker losses their job for economic reasons? Irrespective of the fact her relief goes deeper than economic reasons, the reality is we are all grateful and relieved when it's not us. How many people do you know that have offered up their job so another can stay? Yeah, I thought so. It's called survival, be it economic or emotional, people do what they have to to survive and that's all nvr is trying to do. Is that selfish? Never! (pun intended)

Wow, it feels good to be back :)

You go girl!

How unfortunate for the others, however it's not your fault. But it is such a gift, and a sign, that this is where you are meant to be (out of the A). I have to see my exAP at work some days when our shifts meet up and those days always feel like I've taken a step back in healing. I keep saying if I didn't have to see him I'd be fine. You are a lucky girl, everything happens for a reason :)

And, slightly off topic, but... thank God it was not YOU laid off.
