My SWEET escape...a healthier option for me!!

I haven't told everyone on here yet that I am extremely fond of horses. You could say I am horse "crazy". So...in doing a search on Craigslist recently, I found a young lady who owns a horse and does not have much time to ride. She was looking for someone to do a lease, basically pay $150/month to help out with the boarding costs and then have the priviledge of riding whenever without the great responsibility of horse ownership!! I cannot tell you how long I have been looking for just this very opportunity! I talked it over with H, praying that he would let me go for it, and he said "yes"!! (somewhat reluctantly, but still!) In just two weeks, I will begin this lease and go riding...super therapeutic for me to be around horses and go riding. An "escape" from my real world for awhile and it does not HURT anyone!!!!!! My sweet escape for ME!! :)
And, another plus is that it fills up my extra time where my mind could wander to that xJAM...this fills it up with good pleasure for me and healthy to boot! Yay!
I hope that you all have a very happy and healthy Wednesday!

Fantastic! You have come up with a solution for mixing a passion with a past-time, and I couldn't be more happier for you. I have a sister who has been horse crazy since she was a kid and now owns a nice spread in Western, MI with several horses on it. Her daughter took home some ribbons from some sort of community competition...but I am really dumb about those kind of things.
Anyway, back to you. I think this was a very innovative idea, and it will "Get you back on the horse again" for riding far, far away from XAP and the past.:smileyvery-happy:
Kudos to you,
Heartofsix,
That is so awesome!!!
Awesome!!
My daughter has a passion for horses and H and
Heartsofsix - that is a great escape!
Congrats!!! I used to have a horse when I was in my teens/early 20's and rode all the time. I totally get the
'It may be that when we no longer know what to do,
We have come to our real work,
And that when we no longer know which way to go,
We have begun our real journey'
- Wendell Berry
Hearts,
how awesome is that?
