The new board and profiles

I will agree this board format is going to take some getting used to. However, in the last couple of days, I have been able to notice a few interesting features. When I first log on, I find it helpful to pull up the outline format to see the discussions that are happening and you can click on them to post. So although it requires using two windows, I haven't minded the new format too much. One very interesting note is that in setting up a profile, you don't have to list any real personal information and only those question you respond to will appear in your profile. ALSO and most importantly, there is a link on the profile page that says you can email that person. I can't recall if it displays an email address that was used to sign up to Ivillage or not. But I found it to be a really convenient way to email each other rather than having to use the email feature now being charged for.

Hope you all are doing well today and feeling strong! We have a weekend ahead of us so I hope you all have plans to do something fun. We all deserve it!

Hugs,

GT

GT, it sends the message to the account you used when you signed up with iVillage. It doesn't show the address, though. I haven't gotten around to playing with that yet, but I do have my profile set up. And, I also liked the idea that I could post only what I wanted to be general public knowledge. Some of it has been posted on the board so it's nothing I've wanted to hide. Heck, I don't hide much anyway!

I am learning a little more about how these boards are working. Geesh, give me another week or two. ROFL
