Hi Bella, ((hugs)) and welcome to endings you've found a great source of comfort and support here if you want to end your A.
The Healing Library is a good place to start reading it will help to get your head out of the fog and realise that our A's aren't that unique and special afterall, they're just an unhealthy addiction.
My A was quite similar to yours, we only communicated at work M-F, in fact when I boil it down we probably had about an hour or so of communication in a week! It wasn't enough but at the time it was everything it consumed my whole life.
I did this too:

In my experience OM will 'try' to keep the A alive
- and you in his life its happened to me too many times but the thing is the situation never changes and each time gets worse and worse.
You do feel like <<>> I like this it made me laugh! I imagined my xAP as some horrible big hairy spider just waiting for the next opportunity which suits him to pounce! :))
Go NC if you can, keep reading and posting here, there so many wonderful posters and our CL Lovely-Starr to help you.
Take care and good luck ((hugs))

Bella,
During my A we only had contact during work hours too. . But like you, it was never enough and the evenings and weekends were very painful, especially because I knew he could have made contact if he really wanted to. His W actually was out of town 2 days a week during our last year of the A, and he never once called or found a way to stop by. I am telling this to you so you will see in writing....

Welcome to EAS and congratulations on deciding to end your affair.
I too had most of my contact during the week, always waiting for the call at a certain time.
Bella,
Welcome!
You definitely do not want him to "fight" to keep the affair alive - what would that accomplish other than a little temporary ego boost for you?
hi and welcome to eas.
i hope you don't fall sway to the tentacle-like arms of fantasy in terms of 'keeping the A alive.'
